24:00Sweep of lighthouse beams on the distant coast, car headlights sweep across the top of the Rocks.
19:00An old old blue coach crawls up the hill at 20 miles an hour, collecting irate motorists.
21:00The power kiter is still going strong. The sky is a bit like being in a large bowl - edges of cloud all the way around the circumference and clear overhead.
23:00Dark. Overcast so no stars, but the ground is lighter as a result of light pollution reflecting off the clouds. The remaining camper van leaves the car park.
18:00Stop me and buy one.The ice cream wagon from the top car park heads off to visit his mate down in the lower car park, then they both go home.
20:00Got back to the top to find that someone had ripped up the bag of stones that I'd made to weigh down the tripod. Fortunately I'd bought extra bags.
22:00Pink skies from the post-sunset light, while someone on the very top of the rock explains what can be seen in different directions.
07:00Alone again. No people, no cars, just birdsong, granite and sunlight.
01:00My god, it's full of stars! The cloud cover has shredded in the wind, exposing the Milky Way to view. Four hundred billion stars scramble for attention, utterly glorious.
17:00Winds-up!More visitors going downhill than uphill by now, encouraged by windswept clouds tearing across the sky.
